It has been such a long time since I posted on my blog. I’ve been on holiday and since I’ve been back, I’ve had blogger’s block. So I thought I’d break the blog silence with this image for Sunday’s lectionary reading in Matthew 10:40-42.

How do you explain the Trinity? If I’m honest I just went along with all those Sunday School analogies until I went to do theology at college. There are many illustrations people dream up to try and explain it, but in the end none of them really work.

If you browse the online resources in search of help for Sunday’s service, you’ll notice that in America it is also Mother’s Day! In fact on some of the usually great web sites I regularly check on, you wouldn’t know it was Pentecost this week.
